Ambulances
Call 086 1725 633 from any phone, day or night. A person answers in our control room in Kelvin View, asks where the patient is and what has happened, and sends the crew your call needs. You can also save our contact card so the number is always in your phone.
Our ambulances cover every region of Gauteng from our Sandton base, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, the East Rand and the West Rand. Outside Gauteng, call the public service on 10177, or 112 from a mobile. Our air ambulance flies within South Africa and across its borders.
Our control room matches the crew to the call: basic life support, intermediate life support or advanced paramedics. For the most serious transfers and retrievals, a doctor travels in the ambulance too. The questions you answer on the phone help the control room choose.
Yes. We arrange transfers between hospitals, discharges home and moves to care facilities across Gauteng. Call or WhatsApp with the patient's details, the pick-up, the destination and the time, and we will match the crew level to what the patient needs on the way.
Doctors
The practice at 89 Impala Road, Kelvin View, Sandton, is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including weekends and public holidays. A GP is on duty at all times. Please call ahead on 086 1725 633 so the team knows you are coming.
For many concerns, yes. A video consultation lets you speak to one of our doctors on your phone or computer. The doctor can give advice, and a sick note or referral where appropriate. If they need to examine you, they will ask you to visit the practice.
No. Ralmed has one practice, at Kelvin View in Sandton. Patients from other areas visit us there or see our doctors by video. We will always be clear about where we are, so you can decide what suits you before you travel.
Yes. A laboratory shares the building with the consulting rooms, so the doctor can take a sample during your visit and review the result with you. It saves a second appointment at a separate laboratory elsewhere. Any treatment the result calls for can be started at the same practice.
Clinics and training
Yes, for workplaces in Gauteng, including mines and industrial plants. Our on-site clinics are staffed by doctors, nurses and paramedics in the mix your workforce needs, and cover primary care, occupational health assessments, injuries and emergencies. Yes. Ralmed's training is accredited through HWSETA and the QCTO. We run First Aid courses from Level 1 to Level 3, Occupational Health and Safety courses, and training for healthcare providers, and we can deliver them at your workplace anywhere in South Africa, taught by working paramedics.
Yes. We plan event cover from a risk assessment done to South African law, and supply the mix of doctors, paramedics, first aiders and ambulances the event needs. Send the venue, the date and the expected crowd, and we will prepare a proposal.
Payment and contact
