Beyond emergency response, Ralmed runs a community medical response vehicle in Sandton and opens its work to learners through job shadowing.

In 2024 Ralmed launched a dedicated community vehicle for the Sandton area. It carries essential medical supplies and is staffed by paramedics, who carry out basic medical checks and basic care in people's homes.
It was set up for people who find it hard to get to a clinic or hospital, and for people who are not sure whether how they are feeling needs a trip to casualty. People living with a chronic illness can also use it for regular basic checks of their vital signs at home.

Learners
Ralmed's job-shadowing programme gives learners in their final school year time alongside working professionals in nursing, medicine, paramedic work, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. They can then choose what to study with a clearer picture of the work.
